

About Father Jason

Fr. Jason served his internship as a youth director at Providence Church in Mt. Laurel, New Jersey during seminary. Upon moving to Houston, Texas in 1998 Fr. Jason served as a Deacon and continued his youth ministry activities at St. Thomas of Canterbury under the tutelage of the Venerable James T. Payne. He was ordained to the Presbyterate on September 14, 2000 and was called to be the Vicar of St. Matthias in the same year. As St. Matthias is now the Cathedral Parish, Fr. Jason serves as both the rector of the Parish and the Dean of the Cathedral.
In addition to his ministry at St. Matthias, Fr. Jason also serves as the treasurer for the Diocese of Mid-America, Cranmer Theological House and the Reformed Episcopal Board of Foreign Missions. He is also the webmaster for the Reformed Episcopal Church and works as a programmer for a local web/database consulting firm.
Fr. Jason married his wife, Liz, in February 2004 and they had their firstborn, Aidan Michael, on November 10th, 2005. On January 30th, 2008, they were blessed with the birth of their daughter, Avery Elise. Fr. Jason is an avid golfer and loves to root for his favorite football team - the Philadelphia Eagles!!
